Modern Air Travel...

In an age that I can blog from my laptop in an airport using my wireless card why can't Continental tell if their airplane has taken off from Lake Charles yet? Seems to me that it should get easier to keep track of airplanes not harder.

Have I mentioned lately that I hate the air travel industry?
